How do you see God?

I was reading in Mike Bickle's book entitled "Loving God," a quote that I'd like to share with you. "Our ideas about God- who He is and what He is like - come naturally through our relationships with eartly authority figures. When these are distorted, so are your ideas about God."

How do you view God? As the mean policemen that is always out to get you? Or the judge that is always pronouncing judgement on you? Or the crooked politicians that can't be trusted? Or an absent father or an over-bearing mother? When your views of these people and what and who they represent is distorted then your view of God is skewed also. We start believing the lie instead of believing the truth.

How do you see God today? Is He good, faithful, merciful, just? Is He that Luke 15 Father that is standing on the porch looking for us, not to punish us but to run to us and love on us? Remember He first loved us! Not the opposite.

Here's believing that we serve a God that is totally for us!

Blessings,
Craig
